My oh my.
Much of what I see is a problem with message boards in general, which is you can't see the person smiling as they type when they're making a joke that later gets taken the wrong way.
Alex tried a joke and maybe tried to backpeddle a little much to cover instead of just saying I'm sorry you took that wrong. Chas, your joke may have been poorly timed too. Who knows? All I'm saying is message boards lack that direct in person contact that allows subtlities of life.
This is all I want to say about this. I hope you can all can work this out because I think we're all passionate about one thing, Super-8 filmmaking. And, Hell, I haven't shot Super-8 in over 15 years (I've shot lot of 16mm and 35mm), but a friend of mine shooting Super-8 and this board have made me excited.

It's too late Scott, Mike B. made himself a mediator in this "issue" without mediating anything beforehand...just sort of handed down a final sentence.
Roger has NEVER EVER believed me even one time.
He rode in into this forum one day, ripped super-8 as being inferior to 16mm, I challenged him on this issue, never personally, Mike sat by and did nothing.
Roger has been angling after me ever since, any post that he can try and rip me on he does and has...if I try to re-explain my original post, NOT ONCE HAS ROGER EVER said, oh...okay.....he just starts bellowing like a wounded animal that I have somehow attacked him personally...and that is the only sound Mike B. seems to acknowledge.
The amount of time and posts I have contributed to this forum to promote Super-8 to those who have questions have been drowned out by Rogers wailing, wailing that refused to be silenced even when I tried to rexplain a position to show him I met him no harm.
Mike B. has chosen to only acknowledge Roger's wailing, and damn everyone else on this board.
AS you know, the final upshot to this is Matt has a Workprinter but no color corrector....
So, I simply wanted to have a discussion about prototypes, Roger just went ballistic, and in the end, what I said about bleeding edge technology proved to be 100%...
Mike B. demands I never post here again simply because Roger just wouldn't stop whining.....
Yet, Roger had promised to the board to not attack, yet he did, and he did on a topic that he ended up doing exactly what I said could happen...through the fault of no one but as a result in dealing with Prototype Work...somehow, it became about How Roger was attacked, and not about the issue of Prototypes...sheeesh.
